Box Ladder Leagues, End to End

Box Ladders are here, and they run end to end on Pickleball Superhero, from the setup wizard to the play-day lineup to live standings that re-seed themselves.
A new Box Ladder format
Players sort into boxes of four. Each round, a box plays a full round robin, then players re-seed: the top two move up a court and the bottom two move down. Run several rounds in a single play day. Box Ladders are doubles with rotating partners, so the partner model is set for you the moment you pick the format.
A guided setup wizard
Walk through Format & Identity, Scoring Rules, and Venue & Review without guessing. Choose side-out or rally scoring, set rounds per play day, pick games per matchup and points per game, and decide how standings are ranked: Win %, Games Won, or Match Wins. Controls that don’t apply to your format stay out of the way.
Set the venue and the roster
Tie the league to a venue or leave it open to all locations, cap participants, choose how many courts are in play, and decide whether you build the roster yourself or share an open self-registration link.
A lineup built from standings
Build each play day from a capacity-aware lineup drawer. Slots are seeded by current standings, so seed 1 takes the top court, and you can auto-fill or place players by hand. Everyone else waits on the waitlist, and you can add a substitute straight into an open seat; subs seed to the bottom and stay out of the standings.
Live tiered standings
Standings update live as scores come in, showing each player’s current tier, their movement, and the full W / L / GW / GL / point differential / Win % breakdown. An “as of” selector lets you step back through earlier play days to see how the ladder looked at each point in the season.
